Terms and conditions for equipment hire
All equipment is checked before leaving our store, however we appreciate that faults can occur at any time. In the event of a fault, if we are not informed you will still be charged for the hire and may additionally be charged for the repair. Equipment faults can be reported at any time by telephoning the number on the delivery note, to arrange advice, repair or exchange.
Although the hire equipment is the absolute property of LiveWire, we would ask that you treat it as your own and take care of it. The success of your show or function may depend on this equipment, and we expect to receive the equipment on return in a clean and tidy condition. This applies particularly to cables, please return them neatly coiled and taped with PVC tape (please do not use Gaffa tape or parcel tape). A recoiling charge of £5.00 per cable will be made for cables not returned in a suitable fashion.
The customer assumes full responsibility for the replacement of all lamps excepting those whose failure occurred during normal working conditions. A proportion of spare lamps is normally supplied at LiveWire's discretion. All faulty lamps must be returned for inspection, otherwise they will be charged for at full replacement cost.
Any damage to or loss of any equipment on hire, injury to any persons or damage to property, however caused is the full responsibility of the customer. The customer is expected to take out adequate insurance cover to indemnify LiveWire against any such liability.
LiveWire must be notified within 24 hours of any damaged or missing equipment.
You can cancel a hire contract. However, deposits are non-refundable, and you may be required to pay the full amount depending on the cancellation date before your event.
In common with professional theatre practice, all LiveWire conventional lighting equipment is fitted with 15Amp round pin connectors. All sound equipment is fitted with 13Amp mains connectors; intelligent lighting fixtures generally with 16Amp CEE-form connectors. Adapters are readily available to connect to other socket types, please ask for advice. Please do not remove any LiveWire connectors, a charge of £10.00 per end will be made for any plugs or sockets removed.
All conventional lighting fixtures are supplied complete with a colour frame, a hook clamp and safety chain or a stand adapter. Barn doors, gobo holders, and other accessories are available separately, please ask for what you need. Note that extension cables are not supplied with any equipment, and should be ordered if required.
